Pop-up shop at NK department store

Studio Heijne opens pop-up shop

Studio Heijne opens a pop-up shop in the Beta passage in connection with the NK department store in Stockholm. The store opens in Tuesday the 3th of March in collaboration with the The Wow closet, and is situated in their spacious store.

The WOW Closet

The Wow Closet is founded by Oksana Poliakova and Anna Zhulavskaya 2018. It’s THE destination when you want to rent a party dress for special occasions.

Rental of our garments

During December, we at Studio Heijne run a test with renting out clothes in our shop at Kammakargatan 27 in Stockholm. This pilot went very well and we extend our rental service now with the pop-up shop collaboration. Together with the WOW closet, we offer a complete collection to rent.

Custom fit personal garments

Renting out garments is a great complement to our main-focus: Custom-fit personal garments.  That is because Studio Heijne works for a “size-free” future without standard sizes and mass production and where clothes are adapted to each individual’s unique.

“I want to give a confidence boost to every woman, regardless of height, body shape and size. I do this by offering stylish and unique garments with a perfect fit.I design the clothes according to the customer’s body size and specific choice of details. This means that the customer becomes involved in a design that is unique to her. That is Heijne’s philosophy and our unique approach”, says Wendy Heijne in a comment on the concept.

Press publication HABIT

Magazine Habit  published the news about the pop-up shop in their digital magazine. Read the article about the collaboration between the WOW closet and Studi Heijne here. (The article is in Swedish).

Concept store

During the pop-up shop period, we will close our concept store at Kammakargatan temporarily. Our store will be closed from Thursday the 27th of February, due to preparations.

FASHION SHOW

Sunday dress styled by Christopher Insulander

Studio Heijne participated in Stockholm Fashion District fashion show last week.

Last Wednesday, the new creative arena opened with the style-mixing and well-coordinated fashion show Survival!  The fashion show was styled by famous stylist Christopher Insulander.

The looks

The show started with a pattern blend in black and white with the classic dog tooth motif. The look was completed with white crocs as a style breaker for the otherwise sophisticated look.  Additionally the catwalk was filled with androgynous entrances, dull colors with powerful elements and unexpected styling in a shimmering light inspired by “the golden hour”.  The off-white silk dress Sunday by Studio Heijne stood out from the mostly dark toned outfits.

The brands

Contributing trademarks were: Adax, Ajlajk, Aubade, Biba, Cinzia Rocca, Crocs, Daily Sports, DIM, Dixie and Flare, Haust, Ilse Jacobsen, Isay, Joutsen, Kavat Shoes, KN Hats, OUI, Retach, Sebago, Shepherd of Sweden, Stockholm’s Dress Factory, Soya Concept, Studio Heijne, UN by Göran Sundberg, Unmade Copenhagen and Wacoal.

About the collection

With the “Custom fit Essentials” collection we have taken the next step to come closer to our vision: a 100% personal and custom fit wardrobe.

Every wardrobe starts with the most important garments, the essentials, the basics, if you like. The garments you will wear almost every day. These are the garments which are easy to combine with other pieces from your wardrobe. Simply the garments you use the most. Apparently they will live with you over a period of time and you share everything with them. It are the Essentials you will love the most, because they give you so much in return. Above all these garments are always there for you. Because they give you confidence, comfort and most of all let you focus completely on what’s important for you. Essentials are simply the best garments.

High demands

Essentials are also the garments with the highest demands. That’s why they need to have the exact right look, the exact right fabric and a perfect fitting.

The right fit

Forget about bad fitting denim and trousers which are too short or long. With this collection we tackle one of the biggest challenges for women when shopping for basic garments like denim, trousers and blazers. Namely to get a perfect fitting.  We solve this issue, because all garments are produced on demand with a custom fit, which gives you the most flattering and comfortable garment.

About the fabrics

All our materials are sourced with sustainability and quality in mind. We use fabrics such as Tencel, dead-stock denim, natural fabrics as pure wool gabardine, Mulberry silk and highly innovative vegan leather, made of pineapple leaves (Pinatex). Mostly, the fabrics are sourced mostly within Europe. And last but not least, all fabrics have been going through quality, wash and wear tests, performed by us.

The inspiration

The inspiration for this collection comes from conversations. Conversations with customers, friends and family about their favorite garments and their challenges when it comes to the fit of clothes. The outcome is also influenced by the designer Wendy Heijnes personal take on what a capsule wardrobe with essential garments is about.

For the colors and the scarf collection the inspiration comes from artist Hilma Klint. Her brilliant art has inspired to the color palette of soft lavender, cashew cognac and diverse arty and geometric motives. These colors lift the essential colors black and white, which form the base for this collection
